Fire Department General Information
The Crosby Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects the unincorporated communities of Crosby and Barrett Station, Texas.  This district consists of 102.8 square miles and over 22,000 people approximately 22 miles E-NE of Houston.  Our protection area is split into two response districts covered by five stations manned entirely by volunteers from the community. All Texas - All Volunteer

ISO Updated Information

Effective August 1, 2003, the department successfully lowered the Fire Protection Classification of our protection area from an ISO Class 6, 9, 10 to a district wide ISO Class 4.  This classification improvement is projected to save our community up to 30% in home and business owner insurance premiums annually for the next 15 years.

 Home and business owners are encouraged to contact their insurance agent or provider and inform them of this improved rating.  Many agents are willing to make immediate adjustments in an insured’s current policy allowing the insured to realize this savings immediately.  Other providers will recognize the change upon the policy’s renewal.
